During my master’s at Victoria University, I was assigned a paper that elicited a strong response in me because it claimed to be global didn’t represent at all the worlds I grew up in. I published a response paper in the journal Conservation Biology, and wrote some of my own reflections on the process, on practicing conservation in a world shaped by colonialism and on where to go from here on my medium page.
